Three Pillars Programme

The Three Pillars Programme is a progressive exercise pathway designed to support people at different stages of their health and fitness journey.

The programme is built around three class levels:

  • Empowering Ageing — Level 1
  • Positive Ageing — Level 2
  • Elite Ageing — Level 3

Each class acts as a progression from the previous one. This allows members to start at the most suitable level for their current ability, confidence and needs, before gradually progressing as they get stronger, fitter and more comfortable with exercise.

Our goal is to help you move better, build strength, improve cardiovascular fitness, develop balance and mobility and reduce the risk of falls in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment.

Empowering Ageing — Level 1

Empowering Ageing is the first level of the Three Pillars Programme.

This is a lighter, lower-impact class designed for beginners, older adults, people returning to exercise, or anyone who may need a more supported starting point.

It may be suitable for people managing complex medical needs, illness, injury, reduced confidence, mobility limitations or those who simply want to begin in a slower-paced environment.

The focus is on building confidence, improving movement, developing balance and gradually introducing strength and fitness in a safe and supportive way.

Positive Ageing — Level 2

Positive Ageing is the next step in the programme.

This class is designed for people who have built a foundation and are ready for a light to moderate level of physical activity.

Sessions may include resistance training, mobility, flexibility, balance work and cardiovascular exercise. The aim is to continue building strength, fitness and independence while still maintaining a supportive and adaptable environment.

For many members, Positive Ageing acts as the bridge between a gentle introduction to exercise and more challenging strength and conditioning work.

Elite Ageing — Level 3

Elite Ageing is the third level of the Three Pillars Programme.

This class is designed for people who are ready for a more challenging session, with moderate to vigorous levels of physical activity.

The focus is on continuing to build strength, cardiovascular fitness, balance, mobility and overall physical capacity.

Elite Ageing gives members the opportunity to keep progressing in a structured and supportive setting while still training in a way that suits their own ability and goals.

A Clear Progression Pathway

The Three Pillars Programme allows you to progress at your own pace.

You do not need to know exactly where you fit before starting. We can help guide you into the most suitable class based on your current level, confidence, movement ability and goals.

As you improve, you may move from Empowering Ageing to Positive Ageing, and then into Elite Ageing when appropriate.

This pathway gives you structure, support and a clear route for long-term progress.
